Health & Safety First Aid Regulations 1981 - It is the statutory duty for every employer to assess the risks in their operation and then provide adequate equipment and facilities to enable first aid to be rendered to employees. They must then provide adequately trained personnel or appoint a suitable person to take charge.

The main subject areas covered in depth on the EFAW course include;
Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
Choking. Wounds and bleeding. Shock
Wounds and bleeding, Minor injuries
Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
Duration:
1 day programme.

On-going tutor and practical assessment.
