To provide participants with a greater awareness and understanding of the threat posed by fire and raise awareness in identifying hazards in the work place and at home, including a basic knowledge of fire fighting equipment.
Course objectives;
Identify fire hazards in the workplace and home
Describe the fire safety responsibilities as laid out in legislation including; Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (April 2006)
Describe how fires can start spread and be controlled.
Undertake a basic fire risk assessment
Distinguish between the different types of fire extinguisher
Understand the importance of having emergency procedures
